Understanding Menopause

When women reach their 40s and 50s, their menstrual cycles will slow and cease. While menopause is natural, it also produces disruptive side effects that can interrupt the lives of women. These symptoms can be managed a variety of ways—but there's often an emotional and psychological toll to menopause, as well.

That is why, at Fayette County Memorial Hospital, we believe in providing women the resources, support, and guidance they need to not only manage their symptoms but also make a gentle transition to menopause. Our goal is to ensure that our patients have the education and advocacy they need to take on this process and continue to stay active and thriving in their everyday lives.
