Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) has promoted Sabra Haynes to the
position of Director of the Emergency Department. Haynes has been with
FCMH for twelve years, beginning with as an Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT) with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and working in various positions
in the emergency department before being named department leader. The
promotion took place earlier in the year.
As director Haynes is responsible for improving patient safety and satisfaction,
ensuring proper staffing levels, providing necessary training, overseeing
the annual department budget and working with other departments within
the organization. A graduate of Miami Trace High School, she has associates
degrees in emergency medicine and nursing as well as bachelors in nursing
from Ohio University. Haynes is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician
and firefighter.
“Sabra is very dedicated to this organization and has the experience,
from EMT through the emergency department, to be an effective leader in
emergency medicine,” said FCMH CEO Mike Diener. “She has made
a seamless transition. Both FCMH and the patients that come through the
emergency room are fortunate to have her in this position.”
