Doug Boedeker and Leigh Cannon complete the Fayette County Memorial Hospital
(FCMH) Foundation board roster with their approval at the organization’s
recent meeting. The two are part of the 15 member, non-profit board whose
mission is to increase awareness of needs and generate resources for projects at FCMH.
Boedeker is originally from Beavercreek, but has made Fayette County his
home for nearly 50 years. He recently retired from FCMH where he was employed
for 44 years as the Leader of Cardiopulmonary and Safety/Security. He
and wife Pam look forward to spending more time with their kids and grandkids.
Cannon has been with the Fayette County Public Health District for 15 years
and has served as the Deputy Health Commissioner since 2010. She has two
children and is also a native of the area.
“Doug’s passion for and knowledge of the hospital will be valuable
as the foundation evaluates needs and determines where to invest. Leigh’s
vast experience in public health and community-minded spirit will be an
asset as we continue to promote the work of the hospital,” said
Foundation Board President, Shannon Jacobs. “We are pleased to welcome
them to the board.”
So far in 2020 the FCMH Foundation has invested close to $50,000 in the
facility for equipment purchases and continue to work on the Let’s
Work TogethER Emergency Department Renovation to expand and upgrade the
current emergency department. To find out more about the foundation, call
