With Your Help, We’re Doubling the Size of Our Emergency Department
Let’s Work TogethER Emergency Department Campaign
In an emergency, seconds count. When you or a loved one needs immediate
medical attention, it’s reassuring to know the Fayette County Memorial
Hospital (FCMH) Emergency Department (ED) is close by, and qualified to
respond to many types of emergencies. You don’t plan on an emergency,
but we do.
We are ready, and now we are working to make your experience even better.
By Acting Today, Here’s How We Can Heal Tomorrow’s Traumas:
The FCMH Foundation is embarking on a $3 million campaign to transform
our Emergency Department to better serve the nearly 17,000 patients who
seek care annually. Once complete our new ED will be almost two times
larger, and provide increased privacy, safety and patient flow. Some highlights
of the renovation include:
- 7,000 square feet of space
- 12 private rooms, including 3 with their own restroom
- 1 resuscitation room
- 1 observation room for behavioral health patients
- Increased storage
- Separate entrances for ambulance & walk-in traffic
- Improved privacy at check-in
