Volunteer Services

Enrich your life with the joy of helping your community.
Become a FCMH Auxiliary Volunteer.

Are you interested in helping others? Do you enjoy new experiences and challenges? Are you looking for opportunities to get involved and meet new friends?

The Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary offers all these things through a variety of volunteer services. Volunteers provide support for the hospital staff and for patients and their families. Volunteers' donation of time, talent, and energy is invaluable to the hospital and to the community.

FCMH Auxiliary volunteers receive orientation presented by the hospital staff and begin work with an experienced volunteer. Volunteers are invited to enjoy a free lunch or dinner in the cafeteria during their work shift. Once a year, FCMH hosts the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon to honor volunteers for their service. Volunteers also earn recognition pins for every 500 hours of service.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas:

  • Courtesy Volunteer at the Front Desk
  • Gift Shop
  • Central Registration
  • Surgical Host/Hostess
  • Emergency Room
  • Sewing Room (Holiday Bazaar)

If you are interested, you may pick up a volunteer application form at the Gift Shop in the Front Lobby between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. If you would like an application mailed to you, or if you have questions, call 740-335-3447.
