As a surgical inpatient you can count on receiving the highest level of pre and post surgical care. In some cases your physician may admit you to the hospital the evening before your procedure. Your physician will advise you on pre-admission testing which can be provided by our Ambulatory Care nurses, and/or our laboratory and radiology departments prior to your admission.
We believe education is critical in alleviating anxiety and fear about surgery. We provide education both before and after your surgery. Your loved ones may be with you before surgery. During your surgery, they may wait in our Surgery Waiting Area. After surgery you will spend time in our recovery area where the staff will closely monitor your condition until you are ready to be transferred to your room on our Medical/Surgical Unit or in our Ambulatory Care Surgery Department. Once in your room, all aspects of your care will be coordinated by our highly qualified nursing staff.
