Medical Examinations

Physical Examinations

Many employers now require pre-placement and periodic physical examinations to assess the capabilities of their applicants and/or employees and their ability to safely perform the essential functions of their job.

Several government agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and others have identified and developed regulations governing the necessity for periodic physical examinations.

The Americans with Disabilities Act defines how employers must document and assess employee applicants based on the essential functions of each job.

BHS has the knowledge and experience in conducting these types of examinations.
