Injury/Illness Care Management

Business Health Services delivers prompt treatment to your injured workers. We focus on early return to work through careful assessment and evaluation of physical capability, and development of a return to work plan as it relates to the injury in question. We partner with you to develop a team approach through the use of transitional work programs, and other early return to work strategies.

Our Injury/Illness care and care management services include:

• Experienced occupational physicians certified by the Ohio BWC
• Comprehensive Care Management by experienced occupational health and BWC knowledgeable nursing staff
• Timely appointments, walk-ins, and triage of new injuries
• Prompt communication with the employer, MCO, TPA or QHP about the injured worker’s status
• Assistance with worker’s compensation issues/questions/forms
• Certified Independent Medical Examiner on staff
• Tours of your worksite to provide better understanding of your specific work environment
• Referral to appropriate specialties on a timely basis
• OSHA recordkeeping consultation by experienced nurses
• Utilization of early return to work strategies such as transitional work
• Post-accident substance abuse testing

Additionally, BHS staff works closely with you to resolve any issues or questions you may have about specific cases.
