Emergency Department
No one intends to visit an Emergency Department, but if faced with a situation that requires immediate medical attention, it is reassuring to know that Fayette County Memorial Hospital's Emergency Department is qualified to respond to all types of emergencies.
Our ED is directly linked with local EMT's and Paramedics so we are able to respond to your emergency as quick as possible. You will find that as well as being caring, our staff also has tremendous experience working with all types of emergencies.
Emergency Staff
Our ED is staffed with a team of highly trained professionals. All of our physicians have had Advanced Trauma Life Support Training. Our staff includes RN's, Physicians Assistants and Paramedics /EMT's with special training and certification in emergency care. Our entire staff is certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS).
The ED is also supported by a number of specialists who are on call to address any special health care needs that may arise. Our staff is with you every step of the way, whether your visit requires a hospital stay or you are treated and released to recover at home.
