Bosom Buddies
"Family-Centered Maternity Care"
BOSOM BUDDIES is a breastfeeding support group that meets the second and fourth Monday of every month at 10:30a.m. in the basement classroom of the Medical Arts Building. This is a time for mothers and their newborn child to get together with our lactation consultant and share their experiences. Babies are weighed and it is a time for questions to be answered and problems to be discussed. This is a great social time for new moms to talk about being new moms.
There is always a topic related to the relationship between mom, baby, and family. Past Bosom Buddy topics have included Infant message, car seat safety, starting solids, breastfeeding and going back to work. Though the class is scheduled to start at 10:30a.m., mothers are more than welcome to come and go as their schedule allows. We understand how hard it is to get out of the house with a new baby!!
New mothers and their babies are encouraged to attend along with older children in the family. Expectant mothers are more than welcome to come and observe the breastfeeding support group.
Contact The Birth Center at 333-2855 to register for a class.
